One big party
Las Palapas is without a doubt one of Mendoza’s most popular events. The new season, known as La Aldea Mágica 23/24, is an attraction for locals and tourists alike. as their description goes, “In a unique environment, we make a connection with each sunset,” and it’s right on the mark. On the grounds of the Gran Potrerillos hotel, in front of the eponymous dam at the foot of the Andes, Las Palapas has to be one of the coolest events of the season.
From September to December, each event has its own host musician (the full line-up is available here) to dance to in a dream-like landscape while one samples gastronomic delights, craft cocktails and beers. The party, created by five friends looking for a picturesque spot in which to get together in the open air during the Pandemic, has become one of the highlights of the social calendar.
