WITH AN IMPORTANT AGENDA OF EVENTS “MALBEC WEEK” COMES TO BUENOS AIRES

Within the framework of the seventh edition of Malbec World Day and under the concept “Malbec, the heart of Argentina”, Wines of Argentina together with Bodegas de Argentina, the Government of Buenos Aires and the Borough of Vicente López will host “Malbec Week” for the second consecutive year.

The central event of “Malbec Week” will take place on Saturday, April 8th from 2 p.m. to 12 a.m. at the Dr. Arturo Frondizi Convention Center, located at 150 Francisco Narciso de Laprida Street, in the borough of Vicente López. It will mark the official worldwide launch of the celebrations for our flagship grape, Malbec. More than 2.000 people are expected to turn out to taste wines from more than 40 wineries as well as tastings by the most important Sommeliers and Gastronomy Schools of Argentina: Argentina School of Sommeliers, Argentine Wine School, Gato Dumas and the Center of Winemakers Of Buenos Aires, which will present the wines with various different themes.

Attendees will also be able to enjoy live music and gastronomy from food trucks, with the presentation of the brand new group Guest House, made up of the actress and singer Esmeralda Mitre together with Ale Lacroix, Oliverio Sofia and Leandro Fresco, part of whom will also be presented in a Dj set format, at different times throughout the event. Closing the artistic line up will be Fabián Couto and Exe Bunge.

Tickets for the central event give access to all activities and wine tastings and can be purchased for a limited time at a discounted price of $ 250 in advance from the official website www.lasemanadelmalbec.com or $ 300 on the door on the day of the event. The proceeds from tickets sales will be donated to charitable organisations in the borough of Vicente López.

There will also be presentations from outstanding experts from the sector and unmissable “Cocktails with Wine” by the renowned Italian bartender Carlo Contini, who will be showing off some fantastically delicious drinks made with Malbec.

During the event, attendees can participate in activities such as the Wine On Challenge of Malbec Week, a fun, blind tasting game to choose your favorite Malbec.

All “Malbec Week” activities will be developed within the framework of the promotion campaign “Vino Argentino” carried out by the Fondo Vitivinícola Mendoza, through the Corporación Vitivinícola Argentina. It should be noted that both Bodegas de Argentina AC and Wines of Argentina are subscribed to the Wine in Moderation program that promotes responsible wine consumption. That is why we’ll have free hydration stations with Villavicencio water during the event.
