San Juan

At the end of February, in the Province of San Juan, you’ll find several different events held to mark the beginning of the wine festivals and the harvest with each taking a different approach. San Juan is one of Argentina’s winemaking hubs where the bright sun and Zonda winds set the tone for vineyards first planted by Spanish and Italian immigrants, marking the beginning of a prestigious viticultural history.

The main vineyards are located in the Valleys of Tulum (in Albardón, Caucete, San Martín, Angaco, Pocito, Sarmiento and 25 de Mayo), Zonda and Ullum. The wineries that make up the San Juan Wine Trail are scattered around the provincial capital and, to the south of the city, one finds a fertile area that is home to producers of organic and sparkling wines.

Events here include vineyard tours, sunset viewings, tastings and DJ sets.
